“What-atars?” you say. Blavatars! Blog + avatars.

…, your blavatar automatically becomes your favicon: the little icon that displays next to your blog’s URL in a browser’s web address bar. It’ll also show up next to your pingbacks in the comments section of other blogs.

To get a blavatar for your blog, just go to Settings in your dashboard and upload an image as your Blog Picture. After you upload, you can crop as you like. Save and you’re all set.

Blavatars and avatars are not the same. Your avatar appears with comments and in the Authors widget and is uploaded under My Account > Edit Profile. Blavatars appears as your favicon and in pingbacks. Images uploaded should appear right away.
